Prof. Raj Rajagopal and team from North America visit Kasuva Campus

On 28th June 2019, Sevalaya was delighted to welcome Prof. Raj Rajagopal and his team to our Kasuva Campus. Prof. Rajagopal is the founder-president of Manodharma, an organisation which promotes US-Indian educational engagement. Accompanied by 21 professors from various colleges across the US and Canada, the purpose of Prof. Rajagopal’s visit was to learn how social changes have been brought about here, understand the type of education given and teaching methodologies employed.

The team went around the entire campus along with three volunteers from UK who work on campus.  They were shown the Gaushala, Medical centre, Community College, Organic farm and both primary and high schools.

They were amazed to see the systematic, excellent work in every area. They watched the teachers handling the classes and interacted with students in some classes. They appreciated the quality of the different labs in the school. The sight of the tiny tots actively engaged in their activities in the Montessori classes impressed everyone.

The visit ended with a Q&A session with Mr V Muralidharan (Founder and Managing Trustee Sevalaya). A lot of questions were asked about the hurdles faced while starting the organization, its growth, future plans etc. The visitors were all praise for the dedication and commitment of the staff in all areas. Almost everyone spoke about the happy faces they saw everywhere in the campus. Sevalaya is very grateful for the support of the Professor and his team.
