On the solemn occasion of Gandhiji’s death day on 30th January 2017, more than 200 Sevalaya students took an oath against the scourge of ‘untouchability’. The Chief guest of the day Dr V R Devika, Managing trustee, The Aseema Trust, Ms Naina Shah, Sarvodaya International, and Ms Vasantha Parthasharathy, Finance Manager and Coordinator, The Aseema trust, demonstrated the functioning of a “Charkha”(raattai) to the students.
The Chief Guest also showed a short video and shared a PowerPoint presentation on the life of Mahatma Gandhi to the assemblage.
We thank Dr. Devika, Ms Naina Shah and Ms Vasantha Parthasharathy for choosing Sevalaya to showcase the life and times of the ‘Father of our Nation.’
