
Sevalaya, a registered charitable organisation celebrated its 37th Annual
day at its centre in Kasuva village near Thiruninravur, Tiruvallur district
on 21 Jul 2025. CA Chantibabu Bezawada, DGM- Finance, HR & Admin,
Unipres India Private Limited, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Sevalaya’s Board of Trustees, various eminent guests, donors,supporters and
beneficiaries including students and families were present on the occasion.
Releasing Sevalaya’s 37th Annual Report for 2024-2025, Bezawada congratulated
Sevalaya for their exemplary and inspiring service to the society over 37 years
in spite of facing various challenges. He also advised the students to grow in
their career and make Sevalaya proud. He concluded by saying that a pen can make
great changes to society and advised students to value education in their life.
Various guests and supporters in their speeches praised Sevalaya Muralidharan for
his services and encouraged the students to succeed in their life and make Sevalaya
proud. Madhusudana Babu in his speech said that Sevalaya Muralidharan deserved the
Padma Shri award and requested the authorities to look into the same. An MoU was
signed between Sevalaya and Unipres India Private Limited on the occasion
inaugurating various collaborative CSR projects worth ₹52 lakhs for the year
2025-26. During the event, the Chief Guest presented long service awards to Sevalaya
staff members who had completed 5, 10, 15, and 20 years with the organisation. The
guests also distributed various annual awards instituted by donors, to toppers and
students who scored centum marks in the Std X, XI, and XII Board exams 2025, to
students who secured the highest marks in Science, Tamil and Physics and to students
from Std VI to IX with top scores in Maths. The guests also honoured Sevalaya staff
retiring this year and presented Annual awards to Sevalaya’s Best Supporters, Rising
Star Employee, and the Employee of the Year. The event featured colourful cultural
performances by the students that showcased the services of Sevalaya in 37 years.
Earlier, V Muralidharan, Founder and Managing Trustee of Sevalaya,
welcomed the Chief Guests and the gathering. He welcomed the Chief Guest Chantibabu
Bezawada and various Sevalaya supporters from Bengaluru, Tenkasi, Thoothukudi and
villages around Tiruvallur who support Sevalaya’s activities in these locations.
He also thanked Sevalaya donors who have instituted various awards to the students
annually. A memento was presented to the Chief Guest. Amarchand Jain, Executive Committee Member, Sevalaya, delivered the Vote of Thanks.
