Sevalaya’s initiative in creating awareness on Eco-system

Sevalaya is concerned on the tendency of our people burning plastic rubber etc., on or on the eve of boghi day. Reckless burning of rubber, plastic etc. create pollution of Air, Water and even sound. In the light of this, Sevalaya organise a mammoth rally, “Smokeless Bhogi”, a purposeful initiative with a view to create awareness among people on the hazards caused by smoke.

On 11th January 2016, Sevalaya took a mammoth procession, involving 2000 students of Sevalaya, students from other schools in the vicinity, youth drawn from 40 villagers in the district, villagers and eminent persons of Thiruvallur district, Tamilnadu. The purposeful event was flagged off by Mr S Rajarathinam, I.A.S. (Retd), Trustee, Tamilnadu Foundation.

While inaugurating the event the chief guest stressed the imperative need of creating effective awareness on the hazards of pollution, which is largely a man made. He further averred that children, students and youth are capable of caring message and bring a positive change in the mind set of people.
