Sevalaya’s grand Republic day celebration

Sevalaya celebrated India’s 67th Republic day in its campus on 26th January 2016 at 9 am. The celebration was marked by active participation of the members of Alumni association. The members, in association with The Indian Red Cross Society along with youth and other villagers in the vicinity, numbering 100 persons donated blood in the camp. The Alumni students gathered exchanged their pleasantries and great enjoyed the moment of meeting on a Republic day function.

Various events took place in the function and the following are the some of the highlight –

  • The students of Sevalaya’s Community college, numbering 30, got placement in repudiated establishment they were given appointment orders.
  • Certificates were distributed to the batch of students who successfully completed courses in Sevalaya’s Community College.
  • A warm farewell party was given to the outgoing XII standard students was held. The teachers and Alumni members wished XII students for their success in the ensuring board examinations and to score very high marks.

Very important aspects of the function was Mr. Ramani Raghavan, Lead Associate Partner, IBM, USA participated as Chief Guest to the function. he is holding a senior most position in IBM USA,a global level software major. Hoisting our National flag, he delivered his special speech to the audience. He made a specific mention that due to the fact his father was a teacher and therefore he (Ramani) derives pleasure to visit and speak in schools which is of an important one in the lives of children in their education career. he wished the children all success to reach newer heights in their lives.

The children presented a cultural programme which included a short speech on Republic Day and colourful dances for patriotic songs.

Earlier Mr. V. Muralidharan, Founder and Managing Trustee of Sevalaya welcomed their gathering and Mrs. Annapurna, Trustee proposed the vote of thanks.
