Sevalaya’s daily free breakfast scheme for govt school students.

Sevalaya, headquartered in Chennai, has started a free daily breakfast scheme in Thanjavur at the Government Panchayat Union Elementary school. Today, being the beginning of the academic year, new stationery was also provided to the children.

Mr. V Muralidharan, Founder and Managing trustee, Sevalaya, said that the scheme has been started to provide food to the underprivileged students so that they can concentrate in their studies without hindrance. As of now, the scheme will serve two Panchayat primary schools and will serve breakfast to 100 students throughout the academic year.

The function was attended by the Headmistress of two Panchayat schools, mentioned that the students who miss breakfast are often too tired to concentrate in their studies and wait anxiously for the mid-day meals. Mr K Muthuramakrishnan, Advisor and A Mageswaran, Trustee, Sevalaya also participated in this function.
