Sevalaya’s community college certificate distribution

40 students received certificates on computer courses and 40 women received certificates on tailoring courses, certificates issued in Sevalaya’s Community College, Vadanallur branch, Kancheepuram district, Tamilnadu, India

Sevalaya offer skill training to the rural poor in its 3 Community Colleges.  This major initiative is taken to help rural poor, rural youth and school drop outs.  Most of the students who underwent skill training in our Community colleges get placed in reputed establishments. Some of them become self employed to earn for their livelihood.

On 24th September 2016, Certificates of Completion of Courses distributed to those underwent skill training in the short 6 month courses, in our Vadanallur (Kancheepuram district) Community College.  Distributing Certificates to the students, Mr. Venkatesan, Counciller, 10th ward Uthiramerur, lauded the efforts of Sevalaya in the area of rural transformation effectively. He wished a large number of villagers should benefit and come up in their lives.  Mr. Madurai Muthu, who has been helping Sevalaya in this initiative, said he wishes that Sevalaya should spread its wings by opening more branches to benefit rural poor.

Mr. Sarath C Divella, Country Head, Lionbridge Technologies, said that everyone should be equipped with a knowledge and skill to earn for their livelihood without depending on others.  Particularly, if a woman earns through her skill and knowledge, entire family benefits.
