Sevalaya solemnly remembers Jallianwala Bagh day

It was on 13th April 1919 that thousands of innocent people were massacred by the British Raj. The people had gathered to celebrate Baisakhi (the Sikh New Year), when this tragedy occurred.

Chief Guest G Ram Mohan (Retired Safety Commissioner, Indian Railways), narrated the happenings on that day with pictures and a PowerPoint presentation. He spoke about how hard fought our freedom struggle was, and touched upon the need for youngsters to respect our elders, freedom fighters and protect our Tricolour with pride. The students were visibly moved.
