Sevalaya celebrates Tamil New Years day

Sevalaya welcomed the ‘Hevilambi‘ Thamizh New Year with pomp and gaiety. On this auspicious occasion the Chief Guest S Dhayalan (District Education Officer, Thiruvallur) lit the lamp and welcomed the gathering. While addressing the students he said that
hard work, persistence and self-confidence can elevate a person to the highest level.

During his interaction with the students he quotedour Late President dr. APJ Abdul Kalam that not putting in 100% effort is a sign of malignancy. He spoke about the importance of learning English, as it has now become ‘common language’ around the world. He also requested the parents to motivate their children to study well.

The Chief Guest also released Sevalaya monthly publication ‘Vidiyal‘ and distributed the prizes to the winners of 25 villages who participated in different cultural events on account of Tamil New Year.
