International Women’s day was celebrated in Sevalaya, in a fitting in purposeful manner for Three days.
On 6th March 2015, The girls are studying beautician course at Sevalaya’s Mahakavi Bharathiyar Community College participated in the Women’s day celebration held at Lionbridge Technologies, Chennai. Lionbridge sponsored beauty treatments for their staff by the beautician course students. The day was celebrated with a few games.
On 7th March 2015, The women staff members of VA Tech Wabag all Participated as guests. They organised games and interacted with Class XI and Community College girl students. They motivated them to take up a career and to be self reliant.
250 volunteers from SPI Global chose to celebrate their CSR day in Sevalaya, coinciding with interaction women’s day. They conducted games for the children.
Earlier Sevalaya students presented a cultural, highlighting the events, as part of the celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8th. They presented skits and dance programs, depicting the atrocities perpetrated on women and the need to develop a healthy mindset towards women & society.
On 9th March 2015, Ms. Radha Srinivasan of PR team delivered a talk to the staff members of Haworth India Pvt Ltd on “Women at Work & Women’s role in development” , as part of Womens day.
Earlier, V. Muralidharan, Founder and Managing Trustee of Sevalaya welcomed the gathering and Mr. Amarchand Jain, proposed vote of thanks.
