BNY Mellon distributes school bags and kits to Sevalaya’s 2050 children
The smiling faces said it all!
On 12th June 2017, BNY Mellon’s Jyoti Chopra, Head of Global citizenship and sustainability, distributed new school bags and stationery to each student, from KG to Std XII. A week earlier, BNY Mellon volunteers came to the campus and meticulously filled in each bag, emblazoned with their logo, with stationery and helped arrange them for distribution. This speaks volumes of BNY Mellon’s commitment in bringing about a change to the lives of the underprivileged students.
While speaking at the function, Ms Jyoti Chopra reminisced about her school days and asked the children to dream big and pursue their dreams. She also advised them to study well and bring fame for themselves and to Sevalaya. Ms Leandra Mendonsa, Regional Head – Diversity, Inclusion and Community Affairs Vice President, BNY Mellon International was also present during the function.
