In these days of visual communication, newer methodologies are needed to keep the children engaged and interested in learning. Kengine an organization based out of Bangalore have created a new resource – “Learning Matters” for teaching Science and Social Studies for Std V to Std VIII. It is ‘Cloud’ based and all the contents are available online. The teacher can login and play the content which the children can view and gain knowledge. The short videos give an introduction, and explain the concept. It also has a summary of the video which can be noted down. Their repository has more than 9000 videos in various Science and Social Studies topics. Gowri Mahesh, Co-Founder & Chief Operations Officer and R Saraswathi Co-Founder & Chief Production officer of Kengine visited Kasuva campus on 22nd June 2017 and trained 20 teachers on its usage. All videos are available in Tamil, English and Kannada.
