As a part of the Daan Utsav celebrations, Sevalaya is organized Seva Rath Yatra to the villages surrounding Kasuva. The rath, carried the portraits of Sevalaya’s Trinity, Mahakavi Bharathiyar, Mahatma Gandhi and Swami Vivekananda, visited one village a day during the week from 2 Oct to 8 Oct 15. one of the theme of the Rath Yatra was to motivate the villagers in the services of the society and enjoying the joy of giving.
On 06th October 2015, Sevalaya’s Seva Rath visited Coyambakkam village and conducted eye camp for the villagers, with the support of MN eye hospital, Thiruvottiyur. More than 80 villagers were screened. In the camp it was detected that 15 persons need to undergo for Cataract surgery. 16 people were advised and prescribed for spectacles.
The staff members of Sevalaya and the villagers engaged themselves in cleaning the inside and outside of the Temple, Painting the temple walls and planting 50 tree saplings outside of the temple. The saplings were donated by Rotary Club of Mogappair.
