Sevalaya, in its constant endeavour of bringing excellence in education to the students, it also strives hard to make them thorough in the subjects. As an effort in this direction, Sevalaya organised a Chemistry Workshop for the benefit of Teachers of Government Schools in Thiruvallur district, Tamilnadu on 12th November 2016.
100 Chemistry PG Assistants from various Government Schools and Government aided institutions from Thiruvallur district participated and benefited from the workshop.
The workshop was aptly named “Easy Chemistry”. The session was taken by Ms. Meera, a Subject Matter Expert, Chemical Division, Scope e-knowledge centre, Nandanam, Chennai.
Delightfully, she took the session on making the subject approachable through easy steps to handle simple problems on physical chemistry. While explaining on Organic Chemistry, she described the study of molecules that contain carbon compounds, and vice versa in respect of Inorganic Chemistry. Sample cases were given to explain the hypothesis with the help of Power Point Presentation.
Mr. Jackson Derover, a participant-Teacher, lauded the efforts of Sevalaya and particularly appreciated the Resource person on her scholarly presentation of the learning of the subject, particularly when it is an important subject for higher studies.
Sevalaya extends its thanks to Ms. N. Latha, Joint Director for Higher Secondary Education Department, Govt of Tamilnadu for giving permission to conduct this workshop.
