“Optimism and joy as three families enter into their concrete homes in Pakkam village. These homes were rebuilt from ground up, after the Chennai floods. Full cost of the houses borne by Singapore based individual V S Sivakumar, and managed by Sevalaya.”
The setting today was one of joy, and, the festivities were joined in by neighbours and relatives, as three families entered their new concrete homes, rebuilt after the Chennai floods. Priests from the temple and the father from the local church blessed the new homes. The home owners hosted a breakfast and lunch party for all. Each home has a living room, an enclosure for a kitchen, and, a separate toilet. It was an initiative by Singapore-based individual, V S Sivakumar, and managed by Sevalaya. Thank you V S Sivakumar.
